Lets Make Music!

Here is an order I got for a gentleman who loves music. I always have fun painting guitars. I have no idea how to play them, when I was younger I saved up some money and bought an acoustic guitar and a lesson book, but never ended up teaching myself. Never the less I still love to paint them, and my clients always seem to love them!!! Also I love these beer mugs!

Fairy Glass!

Here's a wine glass I did of a Fairy. She was probably one of the hardest glasses I have done in a very long time. I'm really good at faces and bodies so that was no problem for me, but her wings were not at all what I had pictured them to be. I had originally wanted them to be transparent, but there was just no way of making that happen. Trust me, I tried over and over!! ha ha. I must have worked on her wings 4 or 5 times. In the end I do like her even if she wasn't what I had envisioned from the start and the client loved her. That's what matters most to me! So it was all smiles in the end!!!!

Hot Momma!!

This is one of my favorite wine glasses I have done. Probably because I am a young hip Momma who loves all things pink and zebra! :) I must confess that although I have made tons of wine glasses for others, I do not have any of my own, and this is definitely one I will be making myself one day, lol. If you are interested let me know. I can always change the color of the lettering and even the color of the zebra print. I think pink and black or purple and black zebra print would be just as adorable!!!

Piggys and Plates!

I love Piggy Banks! I think they are so freggin cute and they just make people of all ages smile! So here's one of the many many piggy banks I have painted. It's one of my favorites with its heart guitar. It's hard to tell but it also has rhinestone eyes which is really cute! These little piggys are 4"x4". I know that sounds super super small but in person they seem bigger and they actually hold quite a bit of money and change. These little cuties are really really popular so if your interested let me know. I currently have unlimited access to the pigs and I don't see that changing any time soon, I just need about 2 weeks notice.

I Love these alphabet plates! They are one of my favorite things to paint for people. I like how I can use any colors and paterns (doesn't have to be stars on the K, or polka dots, it can be anything) and make them all so different and personal! This particular plate was done for a sweet friend who is expecting a little boy soon and I'm pretty sure she loves it as much as I do! It's so fun doing stuff like this for people who love it as much as me! :) I have plans to make many more of these. Let me know if your interested in one!!!!

Happy Family

So I got this order to do an Extra Large Plate with a portrait of two sisters and a brother for their parents for Mothers Day and Fathers Day combined. I loved how this turned out. I painted the whole back of the plate so that everything on the front would really stand out and pop! These plates are mostly just for looks and decorations, although they can be washed, so using them is not out of the question. Instead of maybe having a mural painted of your siblings you can have one of these painted! My client loved it as well!!! This is not the only one of these I have done, so keep an eye out for more!!

Mothers Day Mini Cakes -2010-

This is one of the three Mothers Day Mini Cakes I made this year. They were all three the same. I thought they turned out really cute. On the inside the cake was all different colors and none of the cakes had the same color combo. Kind of a cute surprise when you cut a piece. Unfortunately my hand was a little bit shakey while I was piping the white flowers but the special women in my life didn't even seem to notice. How sweet of them! They loved these mini cakes just the same. :)

Baby Vincents Cake

So I was asked by my Aunt to make a cake  for a baby shower she was throwing for her sister-in-law. I had never made a baby shower cake before but since she had such confidence in me, I couldn't let her down. So I decided to try a new technique and I made my own marshmallow fondant. It was kind of a pain to work with and I wont be making it in the future, but that's just me. I know a lot of people who love it. So my advice, try and make it at least once, if you like it, cool! If not, I feel your pain. lol. Anyways, so here it is. I think it came out really cute even though I didn't have the best time working with the fondant. Sometimes you just have to take a breath and over come the obstacles. ;) In the end not only did my Aunt and I love it, but so did the Mommy to be...and that was who really mattered most!!! Success!

Just a Little Note

Along with the mailbox, I also made the wedding card we gave Megan and Jerry. I got the idea from the lasted edition of Paper Craft Magazine (which I adore!). I thought it fit their personalities perfectly since they're young and fun. I love this card! What do you think?

Pretty Pretty Mail

So we (my mom and I) were approached by a friend a few months ago and she asked us to take a plain mailbox she had boughten at the local Home Depot and paint it for her grandaughter and soon to be grandson-in-law for their wedding. So of course we did and when we saw how cute it ended up to be we decided to make a few more mailboxes as gifts for people we love. so here is an example. this is one I personally painted for my friends Megan and Jerry for their wedding gift. They loved it and it was something no one else got them!
